The National Speech & Language and Occupational Therapy Fair is being held at a different venue this year! It will be at the:

YEW LODGE, BEST WESTERN PREMIER HOTEL
off the A6: Packington Hill, Kegworth, Derby, DE74 2DF

This venue has been chosen to provide a more central location, due to its good links for airport, car and train travel.

Directions to Best Western Premier Yew Lodge

The hotel is located two miles from East Midlands Airport and East Midlands Parkway Railway Station (this is serviced by mainline trains from London St Pancras station). Both have good taxi services.

The Hotel also offers a shuttle bus service. This costs £10 but does need a small amount of work by you . . . the Hotel only book drivers for the shuttle bus on a need basis so if you want to use this service you need to:

*Phone the Hotel Best Western Yew Lodge 01509 672 518 in the week before the event to book the shuttle bus - please let them know that you are attending the course so they can double up where appropriate

*Once on the train and near your destination (about 20 mins away) ring the Hotel again to say that the train is on time and the bus will leave to collect you

*The bus will only leave IF you call to say you are near - it will not meet the train automatically

*Also, if the train is going to be late please let the hotel know

The hotel is within a short drive of Loughborough, Nottingham, Derby and Leicester. It is situated within a mile of Junction 24 of the M1 Motorway; at which point the A6, the A42 and the A50 converge - this provides easy access to all parts of the country.

FROM THE M1 Come off the M1 at junction 24. Take the turning for the A6 towards Loughborough; this is Derby Road. Take the first turning on the right onto Packington Hill. (Do not turn into the first hotel on the left - this is not the correct one!) Travel up the hill for a short distance and the hotel is on your right. There are many car parking spaces if you follow the car park around the back of the hotel. NB when looking at a Google Map it shows the hotel as being on the left - please ignore that - the correct hotel position is marked as B.
